Why flipping dead batteries will make them work again.

Pretend that the battery is a can of hair spray. When there is very little left in the hair spray can, you shake it up and it gets that last little bit of hair spray out.

The same thing happens with a battery when you take it out and flip them around. There is paste and metals in a battery which causes a chemical reaction. If the reaction doesn't happen, then there is no power. When you move the battery around it add mores into the reaction and can allow the battery to use more of its stored energy. Which is just enough to power your device.

Old batteries that don't recharge have gone the way of the VHS. Most people these days have Rechargeable Batteries. It saves A LOT of money in the long run and it is better for the enviroment.
