Why you should buy locally.
When you buy mangos that are from the Phillipines, it costs money and gas to bring it to your supermarket. They also have to bring it fast or it might go bad and they will lose A LOT of money. It's cheaper and cost less fuel to bring mangos from your local farm about 30 miles away then from across the world.
Another reason is to keep more jobs in your city. If your parents run a supermarket, you want all your friends to buy from that supermarket other than Wal-Mart because it helps put food on your table. If they buy from Wal-Mart, that money goes elsewhere.
